I am a man with an unquiet mind who holds onto faith in Christ as a drowning man grips a life-saving raft.
In 1995, I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and given little hope for a balanced life outside of repeated stays on the psych unit. By God’s grace, I have enjoyed a full and rewarding life for the past two decades.
But mine is not a story of a miraculous cure. I still seek prayer and take prescribed psychotropics. I study the Scriptures and examine my behavior in therapy. Recovering from mental illness is something I will do throughout my life even as I look forward to glorious healing in the life to come.
I am the father of four and the grandfather of 1.3.
